The inspiration for "She Never Says Goodbye" came from a woman that I dated briefly years ago who was a little, shall we say, odd. Yeah, I know, I'm the only one to have ever experienced dating someone out of the ordinary.

She was unique in that on more than one occasion while she was visiting me I would walk into the other room and when I came back she was gone. Not even a "See ya later." holler to announce her departure.

After one of these times I sat down at the piano and wrote the song.

The best part of the title is that it can easily reflect your current mood simply by emphasizing one of the words more than the others:

"SHE Never Says Goodbye"
"She NEVER Says Goodbye"
"She Never SAYS Goodbye"
"She Never Says GOODBYE"

But seriously, I've always felt it would work well in a French movie.
